Miami-Dade Transit (MDT) is encouraging drivers to leave their cars at home and dump the pump on June 18. The idea of Dump the Pump Day is to emphasize the economic benefits of public transportation.
MDT, along with its regional transit partners, once again have come together to promote Dump the Pump Day to remind residents and visitors of the many benefits of using public transportation. Last year, transit riders took approximately 110 million trips to get around using MDT services.
