UITP (International Association of Public Transport) and KMK (Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress GmbH) joined forces to bring the 2018 edition of IT-TRANS, the leading conference where the sector meets to exchange, discuss and invent IT solutions and to drill down into the issues, such as account-based ticketing, the API economy, on-demand travel and more.

High-level speakers from across the world gathered in Germany to discuss the seven main themes of the 2018 event: Data and the API economy, customer relations, enabling new mobility solutions and MAAS, ticketing and payment, operations and maintenance, cyber security, and autonomous vehicles.

MTA at Work Through Spring Snowstorm

MTA workers were out in force on Wednesday, March 21, to prepare the system for a spring nor'easter that began dumping snow across the service region since early morning.
MTA New York City Transit employees began snow-clearing operations such as clearing platforms and stairs early Wednesday.

The Secret Life of Houston METRO's Busiest Bus Garage

The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) compiled a video highlighting its busiest bus garage, the West Bus Operating Facility. Transportation superintendent (and former bus operator) Cordia Jackson highlights how they keep the community moving safely.

METRO's West Bus Operating Facility is the home to four top-ridership routes, the 82 Westheimer, 4 Beechnut, 2 Bellaire and 25 Richmond.
