Reneé Ross

Reneé Ross has been named business development director for transportation and infrastructure in the Central region of WSP USA, formerly WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff. A senior vice president in the firm’s St. Louis office, Ross will be responsible for refinement and execution of WSP’s business development strategy in the Central region. Her focus will be on ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions that result in greater returns and market share for WSP.

Adriene Hairston joined Cincinnati Metro as vice president of human resources. She is responsible for overseeing Metro’s human resources department and organizational training.

Hairston is an accomplished human resources professional with expertise in HR policy, diversity and inclusion, change management and compliance. Prior to Metro she served as director of agency human resources at Western & Southern Life, where she supported the organization’s 1,500 sales and administrative associates in twenty three states and 150+ office locations. She has also held leadership roles with Fifth Third Bank, Luxottica and Humana.

Transdev announced Stephen Buckner has been named vice president of business development for Intelliride, the company’s paratransit and non-emergency medical transportation brokerage division.   Buckner will be responsible for expanding Transdev's Intelliride business into new and existing markets while building upon its existing contract relationships across the nation. Buckner brings more than 15 years of exceptional sales experience in the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation field and most recently served as director of business development for LeFleur Transportation.

Dr. Floun’say Caver

Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority

The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority appointed Dr. Floun’say Caver as deputy general manager of operations. Caver fills the position vacated after the retirement of Michael York, who joined RTA in 1990. A graduate of Hiram College, Caver received his Masters of Public Administration from Cleveland State University (CSU) and first joined RTA in 2000. He left in 2002 to complete is Ph.D. in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas, and returned in 2006 as RTA’s manager of budgets.

New Flyer of America Inc. opened its new 30,000 square foot Vehicle Innovation Center (VIC). The VIC will feature advanced research and development capabilities that will evolve electric, autonomous and telematic technologies for bus transit.

The VIC was created by New Flyer in partnership with Motor Coach Industries Inc., also a subsidiary of the NFI Group, to deliver on NFI Group’s commitment to investing in U.S. innovation, jobs, infrastructure and manufacturing. DCTA Selects LAN to Provide Railroad Engineering Services

The Denton County Transportation Authority has selected civil engineering firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. to provide railroad engineering services for its rail projects over the next three years.

In accordance with its strategic plan, DCTA will issue projects to LAN that enhance the existing transit network and support initiatives such as A-train corridor expansions to Cotton Belt and North Denton, implementation of rail service from Carrollton to Frisco/Prosper, and evaluation of potential future rail expansions to other corridors throughout the service area.

Lane Transit District launched the third corridor of EmX service in west Eugene and refined several routes, making travel into and out of west Eugene more accessible, convenient and efficient. The launch follows nearly 10 years of planning, development and construction and is the largest public works project in Eugene in 10 years.

Fresh Food Kiosks to Bring Healthy Food Options to Metro Transit Riders

Bi-State Development has launched an 18-month pilot program to provide access to healthy food for transit riders and residents in two areas in North St. Louis County who do not have convenient access to grocery stores or supermarkets. The new Link Market food kiosks, located at the North Hanley and Wellston Transit Centers, will officially open in the coming weeks — offering fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, eggs, bread, meat, cheese and other healthy household staples for sale. Bi-State Development, Metro transit and the Missouri Foundation for Health held a ribbon-cutting celebration on September 28 at the North Hanley Transit Center to introduce the Link Market program to the St. Louis region.
