InnoTrans, the international trade fair for rail technology, was held in Berlin, Germany September 20-23, 2016. It is the leading international trade fair for rail transport technology and is subdivided into five segments:

- Public Transport
- Interiors
- Tunnel Construction
In 2016 there were nearly 3,000 exhibitors from more than 55 countries, 131 world debuts and also new this year was a bus display, allowing for the latest in bus technology. The Outdoor Display features 123 brand new rail vehicles on 1,150 feet of track.
