L.A. Metro, SW Rail Passenger Association, Capitol Corridor JPA (CCJPA), Southern California Association of Governments and various passenger rail organizations and groups are partnering to host the 4th Annual California Passenger Rail Summit held in Los Angeles. This year's event opens on Wednesday April 13 with a project tour and an evening reception in the L.A. Union Station historic Ticket Office. The full-day program is on Thursday, April 14 in the L.A. Metro 3rd floor Board Room.
Passenger and freight rail in California and the United States as a whole is undergoing a transformation that has created a dynamic shift in how we promote, plan for, and fund growth. This new focus has formed a concerted effort on the enhancement, modernization and interconnectivity of intercity, commuter, high-speed passenger rail systems and freight railroads.
