The Hearing Enhanced Audio Relay (HEAR) application, an onboard digital service specifically designed for those passengers who are deaf or with hearing loss, is being offered by Icomera. HEAR helps to ensure transportation infrastructure and its technological advancements are designed with the needs of all individuals in mind with real-time, personalized journey announcements being sent directly to smart devices. Once a passenger is connected to onboard Wi-Fi, the HEAR App runs in the background and keeps them updated as the journey progresses. HEAR is WCAG 2.0 compliant and a low-cost alternative to expensive hearing loop systems, supporting multiple languages, voice-over, Android talkback and offline usage to users.
