The Detroit Transportation Corporation (DTC) requests proposals from qualified firms to Reconstruct Track Curve P17 and Procure Special Trackwork Switch Components for the Detroit People Mover.  The Detroit People Mover (DPM) is a fully automated transit system serving the downtown Detroit core.  The system consists of a 2.9-mile single-lane elevated concrete guide way loop, twelve (12) rail cars, thirteen (13) passenger stations, and the Maintenance and Control Facility (MCF). 

Proposals must be received by the Detroit Transportation Corporation, Purchasing Office, Buhl Building, 535 Griswold, Suite 400, Detroit, MI 48226 on or before 5:00 p.m. (EST), April 13, 2015.  A Guideway Track Inspection is scheduled for March 22, 2015 between 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (EST).  Contact Ernest Latham, DTC’s Maintenance Manager, at (313) 442-3594 to schedule an inspection.  ATTENDANCE AT THIS INSPECTION IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Proposals are to be submitted in accordance with the DTC Request for Proposals (RFP) 03-2015.  Proposals received after 5:00 p.m. (EST), April 13, 2015 will be returned to the sender unopened.  No proposal, once submitted, may be withdrawn for 120 days after the due date.

The successful proposer will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. DTC reserves the right to postpone, accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, at its discretion.  DTC affirmatively assures that no bidder will be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, sex, age, disability, religion, ancestry, marital status, national origin, place of birth, or sexual orientation.
