Maxton Manufacturing Company Achieves SHARP Status Re-certification

Jan. 26, 2016

On Jan. 22, 2016 Maxton Manufacturing Company was presented by Safety and Health On-Site Consultation (SCATS) with a certificate renewing its SHARP status. Attending the event from OSHA were Joseph Giddings, Jana Morales, and John Lindgren from SCATS, Rob Reed from Pro Group, Senator James Settelmeyer, and everyone from Maxton.

“Congratulations to all of you. We appreciate your safety effort and the safety culture that you maintain at Maxton,” said Rob Reed, manager safety services for Pro Group Management.

Some of the benefits of attaining SHARP status include reduced worker’s compensation costs, removal from OSHA impromptu inspections for two years, an enhanced open channel of communication with OSHA, and the positive employee recognition for this achievement. This puts Maxton in an elite group rated above the industry standard on a national level.

“I’m proud of all of our employees and thank them for their dedication towards a safe workplace which made re-certification possible,” said William Shrum III, Maxton’s CEO.
