Valley Regional Transit’s (VRT) Treeline bus circulator broke ridership records during the 2023 Treefort Music Fest. The buses, which provided free rides from March 22–25, attracted 3,580 riders, nearly tripling 2022’s total.

As part of VRT’s support of the festival, anyone with a Treefort wristband could ride any bus route for free. A record 343 people took advantage of that offer. The grand total of bus ridership associated with this year’s festival was 3,923 rides.

“We have no doubt the new location of the Main Stage to Julia Davis Park had a positive impact on ridership this year,” said Leslie Pedrosa, VRT COO. “The distance between venues and the unusually cold weather also encouraged people to ride the bus, and we can’t forget about Bands on the Bus. People just love that.”

The two Treeline circulator buses each featured Treefort musical artists throughout the four nights of bus service, providing a second-chance venue for the artists and entertainment for passengers with “Bands on the Bus.”
