SolanoExpress Lines to be operated by SolTrans

March 11, 2022
SolTrans, currently operates the SolanoExpress Red and Yellow Lines, will be the single operator of all four SolanoExpress Lines.

The SolanoExpress Lines are transitioning to be under the Solano County Transit’s (SolTrans) management umbrella.

SolTrans,  the current operator of the SolanoExpress Red and Yellow Lines, will be the single operator of all four SolanoExpress Lines. The Green and Blue Lines will transition to be operated by SolTrans this year and will begin with the SolanoExpress Green Line (formally the Green Express or GX) effective April 4, 2022. The Green Line, which is currently being operated by Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST), will continue the service schedule that is in effect on the transition date.

The transition means SolTrans passengers will have access to real-time bus information and real-time service alerts through the various technologies SolTrans offers: Transit App, Moovit App and 511.org. Passengers will also have access to the Token Transit App for contactless mobile fare purchases. Passengers also have paper and Clipper pass options available.

“Having a single operator for SolanoExpress will be great for the passengers. They will enjoy a newer bus fleet, service alerts and real-time information,” said SolTrans Executive Director Beth Kranda. “This is the right step for us as a growing agency. This transition will give passengers better transit connectivity throughout Solano County, the Bay Area and beyond.”

SolTrans has already begun outreach to current Green Line riders at both Fairfield Transportation Center and El Cerrito del Norte BART. Passengers will be able to view the Green Line Schedule on SolTrans’ website.
