Going shopping? Take CityBus

Nov. 24, 2015

On Nov. 28 — Shop Small Saturday — and the entire holiday season, CityBus provides a safe and convenient alternative to driving in busy traffic and searching for a parking spot in crowded lots.

CityBus routes serve a wide variety of both large and small stores, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping centers and big-box stores. Three routes serve the Tippecanoe Mall and most routes serve downtown Lafayette or West Lafayette.
Shop Small Saturday, first launched by American Express in 2010, encourages shoppers to visit locally-owned, independent retailers and restaurants the Saturday after Thanksgiving. CityBus, a sponsor of the Greater Lafayette Commerce’s Shop Small Saturday effort, encourages you to consider taking public transit shopping.

“Shopping at independent, locally owned businesses supports Lafayette area jobs and people,” says Marty Sennett, general manager. “We hope that many will support them on Shop Small Saturday on Nov. 28 and that they’ll take CityBus to their shopping destinations throughout the holiday season.”
