American Seating heads to the California Transit Association’s 50th Annual Fall Conference and Expo this week in Pasadena where the Grand Rapids-based manufacturer will exhibit its next generation of award-winning InSight seats for mass transit: Insight-Prime and Insight-Prime+.

The new products were unveiled at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) annual meeting in San Francisco last month.

The Insight-Prime and Insight-Prime+ seats were engineered to be lighter in weight, helping to reduce overall vehicle weights and increase fuel efficiency. The seats also were designed for optimal cleanability and aesthetics.

“We’re excited to be part of CTA’s 50th annual expo and exhibiting these great new products,” said Doug Oswald, director of marketing for transportation at American Seating. “All features and options have been maintained with the new design, including the superior comfort and unsurpassed durability that transit operators expect of InSight. Our new solution solves a significant trend in the industry.”

American Seating will also exhibit its InSight, Vision, Wayfarer, Articulating Stanchion and Q’POD products at the CTA expo.
