TransLink Service Changes Begin Sept. 7

Aug. 25, 2015

With students soon heading back to school, TransLink will increase transit to post-secondary institutions this fall. These adjustments, which begin Sept. 7, are part of TransLink’s regular service changes. These adjustments take place four times a year to reflect seasonal shifts in ridership and improve service for more people within the resources available.

To ensure customers can plan their trips ahead of time, details for the fall service changes are available two weeks in advance.

Highlights:

  • Weekday trips on routes serving post-secondary institutions are back in service after the summer break, with more frequent peak hour service to UBC, SFU, BCIT and Capilano University.
  • Increased NightBus service on routes leaving downtown Vancouver, which provides customers better late night service after SkyTrain ends for nightly maintenance.
  • Late-night service increases between downtown Vancouver and UBC.
  • Capilano Road shuttle service will provide service on either side of road closures during regional water main construction. Regular routes are detoured away from Capilano Road.

The Sept. 7 schedule will reflect holiday service, with weekday service changes reflected on Sept. 8.
