Alan C. Esguerra, P.E., joins planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. (LAN) as a senior transportation engineer. In this role, Esguerra will be responsible for 3D design/development of the firm’s transportation projects in the South/Central Texas region.

Esguerra has seven years of civil engineering experience across several disciplines, including 3D highway design, traffic control, preliminary conceptual and schematic roadway design, and the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates. He joins LAN from HNTB, where he served as the 3D design task lead for the I-10 Collector Distributor project in El Paso, Texas.
Esguerra received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas.
