CATA Introduces Youth Pass Discount

May 18, 2015

CATA announced that, in lieu of providing a Summer Youth Pass to local middle and high school students as it has done in the past, a new discount for this group will be put into effect as of June 1, and remain for the coming year.
Effective June 1, middle and high school students with proper identification may purchase CATA monthly OnePasses for a deeply discounted monthly cost of only $23.00 (a $69.00 value). The youth passes, which may be purchased in increments of one month to one year, offer unlimited access to all CATABUS routes.

High school students must present a current high school identification card to qualify for the discounted pass. Middle school students without school identification must present a statement signed by a parent to verify middle school attendance.

“The newly implemented OnePass discount for local middle and high school students provides not only deeply discounted transportation for the area’s youth, but also a great way to expose young adults to alternative transportation,” notes CATA Public Relations Manager Jacqueline Sheader. “The goal of the new demonstration program is to enhance opportunities for students by providing them with inexpensive travel to access school, employment, recreational facilities, area libraries, retail facilities, and much more.”
