City Utilities Transit Driver Larry Grube was selected as the 2014 Driver of the Year; runner up was Larry Jones.
Employed as a transit driver for six years, Larry has been a finalist on three occasions, and twice selected as runner-up. Larry has an excellent safety record and being selected as Driver of the Year demonstrates his dedication to his customers and co-workers.
“This is truly an honor,” says Grube, "Especially when it comes from your coworkers.”
The Driver of the Year is chosen by CU Transit employees with selection criteria based on job performance, courtesy, neatness, attendance, accident-free driving, and attitude. There were 11 candidates for Driver of the Year.
