TriMet has awarded a contract to Transdev to operate its LIFT paratransit service.
Transdev assumed the operations of the paratransit system on October 1, 2021. LIFT is TriMet’s paratransit shared ride service.
As part of this contract, Transdev is operating TriMet’s fleet of 226 paratransit vehicles with more than 200 employees.
“We look forward to bringing the ‘Transdev difference’ to this new partnership,” said Ron Bushman, Transdev’s regional vice president for the Northwest Region. “We hold safety as our top priority and through the programs we leverage, like DriveCam and Mobileye, our drivers are given the tools to help them, and in turn our passengers and communities, have an even safer experience on the roads.
“We believe the new technology options we are providing will make significant service quality improvement for customers. We look forward to our partnership and providing safe, consistent and reliable service to our new passengers who rely on us to get them to where they need to go safely and on-time,” Bushman concluded.
