BCT showcases newest addition to electric fleet at APTA EXPO 2023

One out of two of BCT's 56-foot zero emissions couch buses made an appearance at APTA Expo 2023.

Broward County Transit (BCT) highlighted its newest addition to the systems' electrified bus fleet at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) EXPO 2023. The new zero-emission bus that will serve BCT's express passengers commuting between Broward County and downtown Miami, Fla.
 
The new bus, one of two on order, will accommodate 54 seated passengers and can travel up to 230 miles per charge.  With its bright and spacious interior, enhanced seating and other onboard amenities, this new bus will elevate the Express customer experience, while boasting a zero-emission footprint.  BCT provides Express bus service under a longstanding partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation.
 
The 56-foot bus will undergo rigorous testing at BCT’s Copans Maintenance Facility in Pompano Beach prior to being placed into service ensuring that the bus will operate safely and meet all outlined specifications before celebrating its inaugural run.
