OK: OU to Eliminate Some CART Services if City Doesn't Increase Payment by $300k

University of Oklahoma general counsel Anil Gollahalli sent a letter on Aug. 7 informing the City of Norman that if the city doesn't increase it's contribution to the CART public transportation system by $300,000 by Aug. 31, OU will eliminate Saturday service and CART's secondary zone (access and pricing changes for residents depending on whether they live in CART's primary or secondary zone).

Gollahalli wrote that OU spends $1.6 million a year on CART (Cleveland Area Rapid Transit), while the City of Norman contributes $625,000 a year.
