After a month without meetings, Kitsap Transit’s board of commissioners returned Tuesday to updates on the status of the agency’s plans for fast ferry service in Kingston and transit centers in Bremerton and Silverdale.
Work is progressing on the M/V Finest, the vessel Kitsap Transit plans to use to begin passenger-only ferry service from Kingston.
The agency bought the Finest, a 22-year-old catamaran, from New York last year and shipped it to Kitsap.
