McMahon Associates Inc., is proud to announce the addition of Julio A. Alegre, P.E., PTOE, project manager, in its Palm Beach Gardens traffic department.

Alegre has been involved in transportation engineering since 1994, and received his bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Maryland. He is a registered professional engineer in the states of Florida and Maryland, as well as a professional traffic operations engineer. In addition, he is a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers.

Alegre has a depth of professional experience in South Florida serving many clients, including acting as an in-house traffic engineer consultant for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 4. In this role he has performed numerous engineering studies such as signal warrant analyses, speed studies, conflict analyses, sign evaluation studies, and corridor analyses, then implementing the recommended solutions.
