While at EADS, Shanck successfully developed strategic initiatives for the public safety market, including mission-critical wireless mobility solutions. Prior to EADS, he was vice president and general manager of Worldwide Business Development in the Global Information Services division of General Dynamics Information Technology, leading their efforts in international enterprise and government markets as well as U.S. state and local government segments.
Shanck spent the first 20 years of his career in North America with Motorola, Inc. in sales and marketing positions and then as vice president of Sales and Marketing—Western Division, Commercial, Government and Industrial Solutions Sector. He then spent six years serving as vice president and general manager, first for the land mobile radio division in Japan, and then for the cellular infrastructure division for South Asia based in Singapore. Additionally, he led Asia Pacific Business Development based in Beijing.
Shanck holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Florida.
