The announcement was made this week by Veolia Transportation’s regional vice president for Northern California, Ron Bushman. In making the announcement, Bushman said, “Partnering with Stanford University to provide much needed shuttle service to the schools, medical center and hospitals is very exciting for us. Veolia Transportation has a strong presence in California and we look forward to this opportunity to deliver the same high quality transportation and customer service for which we are known.”
The fleet of 43 vehicles operates seven days per week and provides transportation to students, faculty and staff, servicing the entire campus. This includes the medical center comprised of the Stanford School of Medicine, the Stanford Hospital and Clinics and the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. This service will also extend to two Caltrain stations that transport approximately 5,000 Stanford students, employees and faculty to the campus each day.
