This week's update features videos from TTC, PARTNC, TriMet, Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the SFMTA.

Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) provided a first-hand look at its completed track installation on its Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension. The line runs from From Downsview Park Station to Vaughan Metropolitan Station.

Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation held their annual Commuter Dash to raise awareness about transportation. The agency spotlighted all of the transportation options available in the Piedmont Triad region - and the benefits from using them.

With the Crenshaw/LAX light-rail project underway, Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) brought viewers into the construction process. Harriet, the tunnel boring machine for the 8.5 mile Crenshaw/LAX light-rail project, began tunneling under Crenshaw Boulevard in late April. This time-lapse documents her first 400 feet of excavation over the course of the next month.

TriMet has debuted its latest service—the Columbia Gorge Express that runs from May 27 to September 25. The summer service is an easy and convenient way to get to Multnomah Falls and Rooster Rock State Park. The shuttle bus picks up at Gateway Transit Center, Friday through Sunday.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is meeting the DOT's Smart City Challenge to bring the future of shared, electric, connected, and automated vehicles to all San Franciscans. SFMTA hopes to create a system that will provide opportunities for San Franciscans to climb the economic ladder and connect with their neighbors.
