The U.S. Green Building Council awarded The Rapids Operations Center in Grand Rapids, Mich., LEED Gold certification January 23, 2013.
Construction cost just over $31 million and was completed in January 2012. The building includes features such as a water reclamation system, a green roof, natural ventilation and radiant floor heating.
