Michael H. Setzer, CEO and general manager of Metro in Cincinnati and secretary-treasurer of the Everybody Rides Metro Foundation, has resigned to accept a regional vice president position with Veolia Transportation. Marilyn G. Shazor has been appointed to replace Setzer as CEO. She was previously chief operating officer for Metro. Shazor is the first female and the first minority to hold the position of CEO at Metro.
Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) General Manager and CEO Beverly A. Scott announced two key staff appointments — Dwight A. Ferrell as deputy general manager/chief operating officer and Theodore J. Basta, Jr., as chief of business support services. Since 2004, Ferrell has served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Capital Metro in Austin, Texas. For more than 34 years, Theodore J. Basta, Jr., has served at the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) of New York City, most recently holding the position of vice president of operations support.
Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Metro-North Railroad President Peter A. Cannito recently announced his intention to retire in July. He will continue to lead the railroad until that time, giving the MTA notice to begin a search for his replacement. Cannito was hired in June 1999 as the railroad’s third president. When he leaves the, he will have been the longest tenured president in Metro-North’s 25-year history.
Safety Vision announced the addition of Michael Ondruch as chief financial officer. As CFO, Ondruch will forge a business strategy leadership role within the company while serving as financial liaison within the business community, reinforcing relationships and maximizing efficiencies among employees, suppliers and clients alike.
Seon Mobile Surveillance announced Lindi Moryson as the newest addition to its sales team. Shortly after joining Seon, Moryson took a position as a sales assistant and has now been promoted to sales executive handling Midwest and Northeastern states. Moryson has been with Seon for more than a year and a half.
USSC LLC & 4ONE LLC announced the hiring of Randy Veenhoven as sales representative – Bus Transit. He was most recently in sales positions with ISE and American Seating.
MV Transportation Inc. announced Jeff Heavrin has joined the company as chief financial officer and executive vice president. From 2002 until he joined MV, Heavrin worked for Central Parking Corp. where he served in various capacities, including senior vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to Central Parking, Heavrin served as vice president and corporate controller at Service Merchandise Inc. for four years and as audit manager at Deloitte & Touche.
