COTA Welcomes Ohio Public Transit Association Annual Conference

The Central Ohio Transit Authority welcomed the Ohio Public Transit Association 2018 Annual Conference to Columbus, from April 9-11, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

The Central Ohio Transit Authority welcomed the Ohio Public Transit Association 2018 Annual Conference to Columbus, from April 9-11, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

Featured keynote speakers at the 2018 OPTA Conference included Jerry Wray, director, Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), and Rebecca Ryan, futurist, economist and owner, Next Generation Consulting Inc. The conference also featured a trade show showcasing the latest in transit innovation with heavy equipment and vehicles on display.

Additional speakers included: Jim Barna, executive director, DriveOhio; Kelley Brookins, region V deputy regional administrator, Federal Transit Administration; and Chuck Dyer, transit administrator, ODOT.

OPTA is the primary advocate for public transportation in Ohio. Nearly 400 members strong, the Association provides leadership, resources, training, support, technical assistance, media outreach, public engagement, and governmental relations services to public and private transit agencies across the state.
