Pursuant to our year-long effort in collaboration with the Councils on Aging and subsequent to the many reforms already put in place toward improving senior mobility, the Cape Cod RTA has decided to extend the popular “Free Fare Wednesdays” for seniors 60+, through 2018.
Tom Cahir, CCRTA administrator stated, “We spoke to several participants who look forward to taking advantage of our special every week. Many get together with friends to dine, shop and see a movie while others are using it to explore the Cape by visiting a different town each Wednesday. We are very pleased with the way this has taken off.”
More than 7,000 seniors have taken advantage of Free Fare Wednesday since it was unveiled this past June.
