November 9th marked the beginning of Home for the Holidays at Carolwood at the Walt Disney Family Museum.

November 9th marked the beginning of Home for the Holidays at Carolwood at the Walt Disney Family Museum. Caltrain has long been a partner of this historical institution and encourages families to make it a destination to visit this holiday season.

The annual holiday exhibition is an immersive exhibition celebrating Walt’s family and love of trains.  The exhibition includes an elaborate three-dimensional model of the Disney Family home on Carolwood Drive in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, including Walt’s personal steam locomotive, the Lilly Belle, chugging along his Carolwood Pacific Fair Weather Route.

On December 9 and 10 only, show a valid Caltrain ticket, active Clipper card, Go Pass or use the code CALTRAIN or SAMTRANS at the ticket desk to receive free exhibition admission.

If you take Caltrain to the Millbrae Station, transfer to BART, and get off at the Embarcadero Station, the PresidiGo Shuttle will deliver you to the museum free at 104 Montgomery in the Presidio free of charge, as well as other stops in the historic presidio.

Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold onboard trains but can be purchased at vending machines at the stations. To save time on the return trip, fans are encouraged to buy a Day Pass. Clipper card users are reminded to tag on and tag off.

Open alcoholic beverage containers are not allowed onboard trains starting at 9 p.m.

Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased at station ticket machines. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day.
