Amsted Rail has announced it is bringing their high-performance, high-reliability solutions to the passenger rail market.

The company recently unveiled Amsted Rail Transit, their broad portfolio of transit rail products, at APTA Expo.

“This expansion into the passenger rail side of the business is a natural evolution for us.” stated John Wories, president of Amsted Rail. “It leverages our long track record for reliability, innovation and leadership in heavy haul rail and lets us bring the same strengths to deliver leading-edge truck assemblies and end-of-car components for the transit sector.”

Amsted Rail Transit is introducing a full array of products for the transit market: everything from complete Transit Truck Systems, to a service-proven General Steel Industries (GSI) product line, to end-of-car components rugged enough for demanding intercity cars.

“Not only can we offer public transit best-in-class products, all made here in the USA,” said Stephen Becker, executive vice president- transit, “but our cutting edge testing facilities ensure unmatched reliability. That adds up to peace of mind for our customers.”
