Cubic Corporation has announced that its Cubic Transportation Systems business division will participate in ITS World Congress 2017 in Montreal, Canada from October 29 to November 2. ITS World Congress brings together global leaders in intelligent and transformative transportation to showcase and evaluate the latest innovative concepts, active prototypes and live systems.

“The transportation industry is evolving rapidly to address the challenges facing our increasingly connected and technologically savvy societies,” said Chris Bax, vice president, ITS global strategy, Cubic Transportation Systems. “Cubic is proud to be at the forefront of transport innovation, helping address the needs of agencies and travelers in transport management, self-service, real-time passenger information (RTPI) and autonomous vehicles technology.”

Cubic will showcase the following innovations in booth #1815 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal:

  • Cubic Transport Management Platform: specializes in the development and supply of complex traffic management systems for the monitoring and control of urban and intra-urban road networks.
  • Cubic Virtual Ticket Agent: a self-service virtual ticket kiosk that allows public transit agencies to decrease or eliminate the need for customer service representatives at the least busy stations on a rail line, improve customer service at unattended devices and more easily address clients speaking different languages.
  • The Next-Generation NextBus Platform: RTPI systems designed for multimodal transit agencies, authorities and operators. The NextBus Suite introduces a new Transit Management as a Service (TMaaS) cloud-based and machine learning architecture that will deliver further enhanced RTPI, proactive transit fleet operations and mobile user experience.
  • Tools for Autonomous Logistics Operations and Management (TALON): software capable of coordinating fleets of thousands of autonomous vehicles. TALON is an ambitious initiative built from a partnership between Cubic, Immense Simulations and cloud-based simulation pioneers Improbable.
