Cubic Transportation Systems has announced that Larry Yermack, strategic advisor for CTS, will explain how Cubic is prepared to support the automotive industry’s plans for vehicle-to-vehicle communication with its Transport Management platform, at the Connected Vehicle Trade Association’s (CVTA) 8th Annual Future of Connected Vehicle Summit & Innovation Days in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on September 19–20. CVTA is a nonprofit business league established to facilitate the interaction and advance the interests of the entities involved in the vehicle communication environment.

The Cubic Transport Management platform is an integrated architecture of existing and new commercial-off-the-shelf solutions that sits at the core of the smart city, allowing transportation management centers to control and direct travel networks throughout the city.  The result is safer, more secure and reliable journeys for travelers, including trip planning and payment systems.

“As connectivity enters the vehicular world, it will open up unprecedented functionality,” said Yermack. “Traffic management centers will have a complete picture of the transportation network and travelers will be able to plan or modify their journey while en route. Cubic will offer leading-edge products to support these features.”

Yermack will present at the following session:
