The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority has invited the public to participate in two community meetings on Thursday, June 29, to discuss design elements and planning for Segment A of the walking and biking path known as the Active Transportation Rail to River Corridor Project.

Segment A runs along an old railroad right-of-way between the future Fairview Heights Station on the Crenshaw/LAX Line and the Blue Line’s Slauson Station.

The project will make it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to reach the Crenshaw/LAX Line, Silver Line, Blue Line, busy north-south bus lines and jobs in Inglewood and South Los Angeles. A second segment will eventually connect the path to the Los Angeles River.

The meetings will take place on Thursday, June 29 from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hubert H. Humphrey Comprehensive Health Center’s second-floor auditorium, 5850 S. Main St., Los Angeles, 90003.

At the meetings, Metro staff will provide an overview of the project and preview what the project will look like and some of the design elements that will be used.

All Metro meetings are held in American with Disability Act (ADA) accessible facilities. Other ADA accommodations are available by calling (323) 486-3876 or the California Relay Service at 711 at least 72 hours in advance of the meetings.
