The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is kicking off the 2017 travel season with new ways to pay for travel on the Airport Line — just in time for the highly anticipated NFL Draft and annual Philadelphia events: Penn Relays, College Graduations, Welcome America and 4th of July Festivities.

As part of the SEPTA Key rollout, beginning April 17 customers taking the SEPTA Airport Regional Rail Line will be able to purchase “Quick Trips” at SEPTA fare kiosks located at each terminal stop, for travel between the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and anywhere on the SEPTA Rail system.

Additionally, starting today, visitors traveling from PHL will have the option to pay with a mobile ticket through a pilot partnership with Mozio, an airport ground transportation search engine with global reach. During the six-month pilot, SEPTA will test the potential of growing a new business and leisure travel market by highlighting the Airport Line as a ground transportation option when visitors to Philadelphia book their flights and hotels.

This is all about offering travelers, especially the scores of fans that are expected to travel to Philadelphia for the NFL Draft later this month, easy, convenient, and affordable fare payment choices through the “Quick Trips” and mobile app.

Together, the SEPTA Key Quick Trip and Mozio’s mobile ticketing platform will give PHL travelers convenient options to choose the Airport Line to connect to their final destination.
