New schedules for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority's (SEPTA) city, suburban and Victory Transit divisions go into effect beginning Sunday, February 26 and Monday, February 27, 2017. Most timetable adjustments are minor and are designed to account for seasonal changes in ridership and to improve customer service. However, SEPTA would like to alert passengers to the following service changes:
- Route 2: Selected weekday trips - six between 6 a.m.-9 a.m. and six between 4:30-7:30 p.m. — will be extended to serve Wayne Junction Station. Service to Wayne Junction will help facilitate connections for Philadelphia commuters who work in suburban employment locations along the Lansdale/Doylestown and Warminster Regional Rail Lines, as well as create new connections to Bus Routes 23 and 75. Please note that trips extended to Wayne Junction Station will operate via 17th Street, Pulaski Avenue, 18th Street and Clarissa Street to Wayne Avenue, not the regular routing to serve the current terminus at Pulaski and Hunting Park Avenues.
- Route 44: Extra evening trips from 5th and Market Streets to 54th Street and City Avenue have been added on weeknights and weekends. Monday through Friday, an additional bus will leave 5th and Market at 11:10 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, the additional trip will leave 5th and Market at 8:17 p.m.
- Horsham Breeze becomes Routes 310 and 311: Beginning Monday, February 27, 2017, service on SEPTA's Route 310 Horsham Breeze will be split into two routes, Horsham Breeze Red (Route 310) and Horsham Breeze Blue (Route 311). The new service will allow SEPTA to address increased ridership on the current Horsham Breeze buses.
