On January 18, 2017 Maxton completed their hydraulic elevator control valve CET training class with 30 mechanics attending from Urban Elevator in Cicero, Illinois. This continuing education class provided the mechanics with credits (4.0 credit hours) through the NAEC’s approved Certified Elevator Technician program. These sessions are made up of classroom instruction and practical application through valve adjustment and troubleshooting with the Maxton TA4M training unit.

It makes a big impact on many levels when the instructor and the information being shared really applies to what the mechanics face in the field daily. Several expressed how they were going to apply what they learned on some specific trouble jobs with the information given.

“Often an after-hours training can be a bit flat, but the energy level at Urban remained high and everyone stayed on task, which made for a productive evening all around,” said Billy Shrum technical director.
