WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has expanded its services with a new expanded office in Boulder, Colorado The office is located at 4840 Pearl East Circle, Suite 300W, in Boulder.
WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, which also has two offices in Denver and one in Colorado Springs, has been managing projects in Colorado for more than 36 years, and the Boulder office, previously serving the environment sector, will also serve as a project delivery office for the firm’s offerings in the buildings and transportation sectors in Colorado.
“We are pleased about the opening of the new office, which will enable the buildings practice to offer clients in the greater Denver area a local presence in Boulder,” said Herbert Els, a senior vice president and national leader of the building technology systems (BTS) group of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff. “Here, as in our BTS work across the U.S., we focus on enhancing the experience of building occupants and operators, with an end goal of creating a memorable venue through our integrated design offering.”
“Our new Boulder office will also feature an Innovation Center where we will explore the NOW|NEW|NEXT in our industry through ideas generated by all WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff employees and clients alike,” Els added.
“The new Boulder office also enhances our firm’s service capabilities in the growing enterprise sustainability and sustainable energy markets,” noted Eric Christensen, general manager for the sustainability and energy (S&E) practice of the firm’s environment sector. “From this new base we will continue to provide companies and municipalities with guidance on a full range of critical sustainability and energy issues, from managing greenhouse gas emissions to finding viable renewable energy opportunities.”
Among the S&E practice’s current projects in the state is the development of a comprehensive sustainable supply chain strategy for a Colorado-headquartered global food products company.
Michael Unger, vice president and Colorado/Wyoming area manager of the firm’s transportation and infrastructure sector, added, “The new office will expand our local base for the delivery of our transportation and infrastructure engineering services for the Colorado Department of Transportation and our county and city clients in the area.”
Among the transportation and infrastructure group’s recent projects in the area are the US 34 flood recovery project from Loveland to Estes Park, Colo., and the I-25 Managed Lanes – US 36 to 120th Avenue Design.
