At InnoTrans 2016, Faiveley Transport showcased its latest products and services designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce mass, improve system reliability and quality and lower maintenance costs.

At InnoTrans 2016, Faiveley Transport showcased its latest products and services designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce mass, improve system reliability and quality and lower maintenance costs.

Presented to the public for the first time will be Faiveley Metroflexx — a new generation of brake control system for mass transit allowing different brake control configurations and offering brake control per axle, per bogie and per car — as well as a motor shaft caliper in tandem with a compact hydraulic power unit, designed for light rail vehicle braking systems. Other brake products will include ParkLock, an innovative parking brake system offering superior braking force. By reducing the number of components, the weight and the space envelope, Faiveley Transport is meeting requirements centred on improved reliability and cost of ownership. Faiveley NeoFlexx disc, the new generation of axle-mounted brake disc designed for high duty applications will also be on show, as well as the Buran 8 oil free compressor, the BFC G4 tread brake unit, sanding systems and coupling products.

Other exhibits included ESP4C, the light and compact universal sliding plug door mechanism, which meets all market requirements due to a very high level of standardization using service proven components, and ClearFlow, a new type of platform gate offering higher, safer and aesthetically enhanced platform edge barriers.

Among other innovations in HVAC, power devices and electronic equipment, new systems were also on display, featuring technical synergies between different products while providing energy savings and lower life-cycle costs. These included the EcoPark solution, which makes it possible for rail operators to modulate any HVAC intensity at standstill, and Optimizair, a power converter fitted within an HVAC unit for increased efficiency and reliability. Configurability solutions for CCTV and event recorders and an ultra-flat AX pantograph were also be presented.

New technologies designed to demonstrate how the group constantly strives to help its customers achieve higher performance levels were also be presented — in relation to HVAC systems, via the BlueFilter new advanced filtration device and through the introduction of a CO2 based refrigerant solution, along withFaiveley Transport’s Cloud Services. Faiveley Transport will also feature its comprehensive Services expertise, reflecting its commitment to optimizing the availability and life-cycle cost of products.
