Nomad and Stadler Partner to Deliver WiFi and an Improved Passenger Experience for NSB in Norway

Building on its partnership with Swiss-based train builder Stadler, Nomad Digital has successfully delivered passenger WiFi on 82 Flirt trains for NSB, Norway’s primary train operating company.

Building on its partnership with Swiss-based train builder Stadler, Nomad Digital has successfully delivered passenger WiFi on 82 Flirt trains for NSB, Norway’s primary train operating company.

The deployment marks the largest WiFi rollout on a single new train fleet in the world and supports NSB’s focus on improving the overall journey experience for their passengers.

These state-of-the-art trains have been built by Stadler, with Nomad’s next-generation connectivity infrastructure fully integrated. Nomad has delivered a secure, robust technology platform, which, as well as delivering passenger WiFi, also enables the integration of additional operational applications, providing a scalable, future-proofed solution to NSB.

As the demands of both NSB and their passengers increase, the Nomad solution can be leveraged to offer new and advanced services in the future. In addition, Nomad has also designed its next-generation passenger WiFi solution for an additional 26 trains.

Nomad’s state-of-the-art connectivity technology provides passengers with a seamless and robust WiFi experience throughout their journey. The solution allows them to keep up-to-date with their busy work schedule by exchanging emails and downloading files as well as providing the opportunity for accessing entertainment, media and social networks.
