RTC Partners with Nugget, City of Sparks and Washoe County Schools for Free Shuttle Service

June 27, 2016
The shuttles will operate from 10 am to midnight and will take riders to RTC Centennial Plaza and back to Reed High School.

The RTC, in partnership with the Nugget Casino Resort, City of Sparks and Washoe County School District, will provide free shuttle service to the Star Spangled Sparks fireworks show on Sunday, July 3rd.

Everyone is encouraged to park at Reed High School on Prater Way and get onboard at the bus stop in front of the school. The shuttles will operate from 10 am to midnight and will take riders to RTC Centennial Plaza and back to Reed High School.

Due to construction activities in Victorian Square, where the event is held, limited parking is available, and everyone is invited to ride transit instead. Other RTC routes will continue to operate on a Sunday schedule and a regular fare will still be collected.

For those riding the shuttle, food and drinks may be brought on the bus provided they are not consumed while onboard. Folding outdoor chairs may be brought onboard provided they are not overly bulky and can fit in front of you while seated on the bus.

The Nugget is giving away mini flags for the first 2,000 people to ride the free shuttle. The free service is funded by the Nugget Casino Resort.
