RTC to Host Four Major Transit Agencies, Exchange Best Practices

Committed to providing an efficient, cost-effective transit system, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is sharing its unique responsibilities and best practices with four visiting transit agencies

Committed to providing an efficient, cost-effective transit system, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is sharing its unique responsibilities and best practices with four visiting transit agencies in an effort to improve service for passengers in five major metropolitan areas, including Southern Nevada.

What: As part of the annual Multi-Agency Exchange (MAX) Program, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) will host four transit agencies from across the country including:

  • Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Dallas, TX
  • Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro), Los Angeles, CA
  • Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD), Denver, CO
  • Metropolitan Area Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), Atlanta, GA

Why: To share best practices with other transit authorities with the goal of improving services for passengers in five major metropolitan areas

When: Friday, June 24, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: Various RTC properties, beginning at the RTC administrative building, 600 Grand Central Parkway. Times below are approximate. To determine where the group is during the day, call Catherine Lu at (702) 545-7119 or Aileen Magnera at (702) 461-6135.

  • 9 – 10:15 a.m.: Bonneville Transit Center, 101 E. Bonneville Ave.
  • 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: FAST/NHP, 4615 W. Sunset Road
  • 1:15 – 4 p.m.: Sunset Maintenance Facility/Mobility Training Center, 5165 W. Sunset Road
