Tri Delta Transit Continues Partnership with First Transit

First Transit announces that the company has signed a new contract with Tri Delta Transit in Antioch, CA. First Transit operates 92 buses for the fixed-route and paratransit services and will staff the call center, dispatch and operations functions. First Transit is partnering with Tri Delta Transit to bring technology enhancements including new tablet computers on the paratransit buses, the addition of text and email passenger notification, and the ability to schedule paratransit trips online.

“First Transit understood our desire to further improve the passenger experience,” said Jeanne Krieg, chief executive officer, Tri Delta Transit. “We were looking for several unique technology solutions, and they were able to provide them.”

Tri Delta Transit provides local bus service in the communities of Bay Point, Pittsburg, Antioch, Oakley, Brentwood, Discovery Bay, Concord and Martinez. Tri Delta Transit local buses connect to the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), County Connection serving central Contra Costa County, WestCAT bus service serving western Contra Costa County, and Amtrak at shared bus stops.
