The Lake County Commissioners reappointed three members of the nine-member Board of Trustees to serve an additional three-year term from 2016-2019.

Mentor resident, Mary Bryner, has served on the Laketran Board of Trustees since 2013.

Operations Committee Chair, Donna P. McNamee, of Willoughby, has served on the Laketran Board since 2001.  McNamee also serves on the Executive Committee of the American Public Transportation Association.

Jean Sency, of Madison, has served on the Laketran board since 2011.

Leadership roles shifted after resignation of trustee Matt Armand in April.  Paul E. Miller, of Mentor, was elected Vice President of Board of Trustees and Sency was named chair of the Finance Committee.

“I am very pleased that these three trustees sought reappointment to the board.  Each of our board members brings a professional skill set that advances the needs of Laketran and the trustees all work very well together.  I look forward to continue working with each of them on meeting the transit needs of Lake County,” shared Brian Falkowski, president of Laketran Board of the re-appointments.

Bryner, McNamee, and Sency were sworn-in on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Laketran’s monthly board meeting.

The Laketran Board of Trustees is responsible for the general oversight of the Lake County public transportation system, including the annual budget and fare structure.  They are appointed by Lake County Commissioner to a three-year term.
