Statement from UTA:
We are saddened to confirm the death of UTA employee Kay P. Ricks. Kay was a beloved and respected member of the UTA family and will be missed by all of us. Our sympathies go out to the Ricks family, and we will focus on offering them support during this difficult time. We will continue to cooperate fully with authorities as they investigate this incident.
Kay’s coworkers describe him as a pleasure to be around and note that he was always first to offer his assistance. Today UTA will remember his service by dispatching additional UTA police officers to travel to Wyoming to escort Kay’s body home to Utah.
