VIA Metropolitan Transit and the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department have teamed up once again to celebrate the art masterpieces of senior citizens from across the city.

VIA Metropolitan Transit and the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department have teamed up once again to celebrate the art masterpieces of senior citizens from across the city. This traveling exhibit went on display at the beginning of February in the lobby of The Grand at VIA Villa at 123 N. Medina St. and remains open until Feb. 29, 2016. It is free and open to the public.

The exhibit is part of the City’s “Bravo for ArtAbility, Never Too Old to Create” to celebrate the artistic talents of San Antonio senior citizens through paintings, drawings, photographs, jewelry, pottery, ceramics, sculpture, and crafts.

“VIA is proud to host the Bravo for ArtAbility traveling exhibit, and we appreciate the opportunity to team up once again with the Parks and Recreation Department to introduce more art into our community and to showcase the creativity of our community’s seniors,” said VIA president and CEO Jeffrey C. Arndt. “I am happy to share that VIA has many partners in the arts, and that public art is a part of our ongoing projects and services.”

Bravo for ArtAbility is a senior art exhibit held annually in cooperation with the Parks and Recreation Department, the Alamo Area Council of Governments, and the Area Agency on Aging. For more information on this program, call (210) 207-3011.
