SmartDrive Systems announced July 17, that it has been named as one of the best places to work in San Diego. The annual list of the Best Places to Work in San Diego was created by the San Diego Business Journal, Best Companies Group, and sponsors Kaiser Permanente and GreenRope.

The 2015 Best Places to Work in San Diego is a survey and awards program designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in San Diego that benefit the county’s economy, workforce, and businesses. The list is made up of 100 companies organized into four categories, and SmartDrive has been named one of this year’s Best Places to Work in San Diego in the medium company category.

“We are very proud to be recognized as an outstanding place to work and firmly believe that our high caliber employees and the industry-leading service they provide help distinguish SmartDrive from competitors in the marketplace,” stated Sheryl Roland, vice president of human resources for SmartDrive. “Our Promise to our customers, that which uni'fies our entire employee population, is at the core of our ability to develop compelling, innovative solutions that deliver tangible results--of up to a 70 percent reduction in the number of collisions--to our clients.

Companies from across the county entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in San Diego. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. Combined survey scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. SmartDrive was included on the list for its outstanding survey scores across all categories. SmartDrive and its employees believe in delivering products and services that truly make a difference in their industry and in their community.

The list-making companies will be honored at an awards ceremony on Aug. 6. A special issue of the San Diego Business Journal that profiles the companies selected as the Best Places to Work in San Diego will be published on Aug. 17.
