MacAllister Named Vice President of Gannett Fleming

Michael MacAllister, PE, was named a vice president of Gannett Fleming. Based in the firm’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office, MacAllister serves as manager of the national construction management practice.

With more than 33 years of industry and management experience, MacAllister provides technical direction, project management, and quality assurance services for more than 220 construction management and inspection staff nationwide. The group provides complete construction management services, from pre-construction through post-construction, including contract compliance, estimating, scheduling, and claims services for clients in the water/wastewater, transportation, transit and private markets.

MacAllister’s experience includes providing project management for the rehabilitation of the New Creek Site 14 Dam in Keyser, West Virginia, a fast-track project that brought a 50-year-old structure up to modern standards. He served as project manager of construction inspection services for S.R. 0028 and the Stage II Light Rail Transit System in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and currently oversees a statewide program that assists Pennsylvania’s public transit agencies with new construction projects.

MacAllister holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is active in a number of professional associations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Public Transit Association (APTA), the American Society of Highway Engineers, the Association for Bridge Construction and Design, and the Consulting Engineers Council of Pennsylvania. He resides in Irwin, Pennsylvania.
