TTC Welcomes New Citizen Members

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) May 27 welcomed four citizen members - two new and two returning - to the board: Maureen Adamson and Alan Heisey return for a second term, and will be joined by new board members Rick Byers and Ron Lalonde. Alan Heisey was elected vice chair of the board.

Maureen Adamson

Adamson is the president and CEO of the Michener Institute. She has 25 years' of experience in the not-for-profit sector, where she has led the development of provincial policy and implemented policies and best practices with hospitals, in applied health science education, and with the charitable sector.

Rick Byers

Byers has a B. Comm. from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the University of Ottawa, and a CA designation. He has 28 years of experience in the accounting, finance and infrastructure industries. He has also served on a number of volunteer and other boards and is a strong believer in well-run public agencies.

Alan Heisey

Heisey is a lawyer who has practiced law for over 30 years. He has served in the past on the Toronto Police Services Board and the Toronto Parking Authority. Recently, he has advocated for a connected network of separated and protected bike lanes in the downtown core.

Ron Lalonde

Lalonde retired from the CIBC in 2010, where he was a member of the CIBC's Executive team. During his career, he worked in virtually all of the CIBC's support functions, including finance and technology. He has a BA and MBA from the University of Western Ontario and has served on several private and non-profit boards.
