More than 270 exhibitors from around the world will offer an unmissable glimpse at the defining trends shaping the future of public transport at the biennial UITP World Congress & Exhibition in Milan from June 8-10.
All eyes are on Milan as the UITP’s (International Association of Public Transport) World Congress & Exhibition is little over a month away and the industry is gearing up for what is the biggest event in public transport. At least 270 exhibitors from 34 countries will exhibit their very latest vehicles, products and solutions in the 30,000m² Exhibition, including at least two world premieres.
Efficiency will be a major theme in Milan: despite recent drops in fuel prices, the bus industry is endeavouring to improve fuel economy in a number of ways, including weight reduction, in addition to the hybrid, CNG and all-electric buses that will be on display. Safety and smart energy usage are currently a big focus in the rail industry whilst a variety of IT companies will be presenting their latest passenger information, ticketing and payment solutions that are all helping to enhance the customer experience.
