Parsons Brinckerhoff Names Environmental Policy Practice Lead

Eric B. Beightel has been named associate director, federal environmental policy practice, in the Washington, D.C. office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Beightel will advise the firm’s clients regarding federal environmental review and approval processes related to the development of transportation infrastructure, including transportation authorization bills and environmental legislation. 

Beightel comes to Parsons Brinckerhoff from the U.S. Department of Transportation, where he was a senior environmental policy advisor in the office of the secretary. He served as a subject- matter expert for environmental policy, laws and regulations and as the departmental lead on interagency working groups seeking to improve federal performance in project planning and delivery. He previously served as a policy advisor in the office of the director of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget and was an environmental protection specialist with the Federal Highway Administration.

Beightel received a master of public policy degree from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from the University of Kansas.
